Plywood and OSB can be replaced with boards 25 mm wide. The roof is attached to the rear wall of the booth with door hinges. The roof top is covered with roofing material or bituminous shingles.

All wooden elements are thoroughly cleaned before work. This will prevent the dog from getting splinters. Wood treatment with an antiseptic should be carried out only after the completion of construction.

Construction stages

The work on creating a kennel is carried out in stages. There are several main stages in building a dog's home:

Cover the roof with bituminous tiles. Outside, the finished building is treated with an antiseptic. Boards are attached to the bottom of the booth, raising the structure above the ground. Then the hole of the kennel is made out. You can not only build a booth, but also build a full-fledged aviary for an alabai (as in the photo below).

Additional insulation

The dog is kept in a cold region; during severe frosts, the booth should be covered with bales of hay. Laz is covered with a piece of thick fabric. It is safe to use foam as insulation.

Wood sawdust can also be selected. However, after a while, they become caked, and the thermal insulation of the booth decreases. When using mineral wool, all the cracks are tightly closed so that the dog cannot reach it. If it is decided to make a dog enclosure, it should not be insulated.

Place of installation

First, the optimal place for the dog kennel is chosen. It is better if the site is located in the shade of trees. It should be a small hill. Residential buildings should be at a distance of 10 m from the booth. A good solution is to build an aviary.

When the booth is placed in the sun, the dog may become ill from heatstroke. Do not build a kennel in a dark place. Alabai constantly monitors the protected area. Therefore, from the place where the kennel will be located, the good view to the site. During rains, the area where the booth will be located should not be flooded with water. Alabai cannot coexist with other animals. They are lodged away from farms. The booth cannot be placed in the barn. When the location for the kennel is selected, you can select the model of the structure.

Aviary booth

Alabai constantly walks throughout the site. When the owner accepts guests, it is better to take the dog into the enclosure. The booth should be located in it. Here the dog will be able to rest in peace. The aviary is made with a wooden floor. The roof is optional. This way the dog will always be in the open air.

The door should be made in such a way that it opens inside the enclosure. Otherwise, Alabai will not be able to knock her out. It is especially important to choose a reliable and sturdy lock.
